August 22, 1966 – On This Date In Hip-Hop, Gary “GZA” Grice was born in Brooklyn, New York. GZA would grow up to: (1) breakdance, (2) write graffiti, (3) DJ, (4) be influenced by The Last Poets, (5) be cousin to RZA and ODB (RIP), (6) become 1/3 of Force Of The Imperial Master/All In Together, (7) drop out of school in the 10th grade, (8) rap as The Genius, (9) work as a bicycle messenger, (10) become a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, (11) release 6 albums and (12) lecture at Harvard University.
