June 6, 1990 – On This Date In Hip-Hop, Judge Jose Gonzalez of Broward County ruled that 2 Live Crew’s As Nasty As They Wanna Be violated “community obscenity standards – making it the 1st legally obscene album and illegal to sell in certain counties.
