  1. As a young white kid myself growing up in the city and loving rap I think this tape was phenomenal. Now does it sound as good to me as it used to when I was 14,15,16 bumping this? No it doesn’t it sounds corny as shit to me 😂. HOWEVER I think he PERFECTED that college frat-rap that guys like Asher Roth could only make hits off of. This was VERY influential for every white kid I grew up with who listened to rap. It was relatable in ways that a lot of other rap was not due to him being white. He made being a white boy cool for us. Before him obviously we had Eminem but he was becoming corny and had just started his fall off. Now we had a young hip guy who had the young and modern style of hip hop and was also able to spit bars over boom bap beats.

I think overall Mac really took the game by storm. He was one of a kind and this really pushed him to the next level. I think his experimentation with his sound really dampened his lyrics and flow that many fans knew he was capable of. He is cemented among greats in rap, although I’d hesitate to call him a legend he definitely is to some people. This tape started the rise to fame of who we know today.

Fav song on mixtape: Nikes On My Feet 🔥

P.S. I bet you can’t find one white person who doesn’t like Mac Miller. (Is this bias among whites? Probably.)
