August 10, 2008 – On This Date In Hip-Hop, DJ Vlad was on the receiving end of a beat down by Rick Ross’ Triple C’s group at the 2008 OZONE Awards. The offing of Vlad’s brakes was allegedly for him posting the picture of Ross in uniform as a correctional officer.
Vlad allegedly suffered dental damage, a broken nose, damage to the nerves in his face as well as an injury that required several stitches under his right eye.
On This Date In Hip-Hop, Mobb Deep released their 6th album Amerikaz Nightmare on Infamous/Jive.
On This Date In Hip-Hop, Violator The Album was released.
On This Date In Hip-Hop, Shyne released his 2nd album Godfather Buried Alive on Gangland/DefJam.
On This Date In Hip-Hop, Slaughterhouse released their self-titled debut album.
