Mine is “How’s it goin’ down”, I play that song at every function i have the aux and almost every long car ride. The story goes that when my parents met, that DMX song was playing in the background and it became their song during the relationship. So thank you Dark Man X for your time and talent on this earth. For me, Kanye West’s Dropout trilogy really reflects my life in high school up until my eventual decision to drop out of college (very obvious I know lol). My life afterwards has been most recently My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, The Blueprint, mixed with some All Eyez on Me.

For me, personally, it was 2Pac’s “Me Against The World”. I think the duality he displayed in his lyrics abt being a young Black man living in 90’s America at the time can still be reflected today, since not much has changed. What do y’all think tho?
