Sept. 12: BMF Founders Sentenced To 30 Years. (2008)
September 12, 2008 – On This Date In Hip-Hop, BMF leader Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory were sentenced to 30 years in prison for running a cocaine operation. The national criminal enterprise had its hand in the music industry heavy even having its own label BMF Entertainment.
Southwest T has since been released and Big Meech is set to be released in 2028.
Meech was on point with how to structure his organization and treat his crew. I feel like Meech’s business model would have thrived in ANY industry.
