What was the first Album you bought?
Posted by beatmaica on April 6, 2022 at 8:52 amI distinctly remember picking up Busta Rhymes – The Coming as the first album I bought.
As a DJ though, I’d had ATCQ, Run DMC, Dr Dre 12” singles

I skipped school with a few friends to pick it up…
Was so pissed hit 3 stores no one had it, finally walking through Walmart saw a display with 2 copies. Grabbed it and was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed that it was clean.
This of course was before they publicized that they had the edited version.
Ugh… I still listened to the shit on repeat ontil the next day when I copped the explicit.

That’s dope. My dad played 97 Bonnie and Clyde on repeat cause he didn’t like playing my name is around my mom as much. Cum on everybody was a car jam though can’t lie. Had my entire household with their arm out the window rapping every time on a summer car ride

Role model, Cum on everybody, and as the world turns always get played when that comes on. Such good memories.

I was 9 years old and bought Lil Wayne’s “Tha Block Is Hot”.
I remember my mom parked outside “Wherehouse” and I ran in to get it and when I got in line, I was thinking “aren’t they gonna ask for a parent because the parental advisory sticker?” but they didn’t, I paid and ran back to the car 😂
