Yoooo.. I was watching Big Sean’s Drink Champs and when it came down to Big Pun vs. Big L, I was low key stuck but Big L ultimately got my vote. But, fuck it lets run a Verzuz in the thread and see what the consensus is. I’ll go 1st:

I always respected Pun wordplay but hearing Big L for the first time felt like hearing hip hop for the first time. Them punchlines were too crispy. He was a punchline artist without it being cheesy. Forever in my top 5

L takes a Verzuz for sure but Pun’s higher all time imo… L’s lyricism was crazy but Pun had whole verses I still can’t believe a human being penned

I think Bug Pun is better. Personally L has some Lines that Pun could never touch, but Pun’s flow was too amazing. The world stopped when I heard “dead in the middle of little Italy…” verse🔥🔥 Nothing takes away from L but I think Pun takes it
