This is so subjective but GKMC is much more my style. Illmatics impact is undeniable though

You know what? The impact that GKMC had within regards to hella social issues definitely help it’s case nowadays.
As far as the overall style, I’d go with Illmatic. This is coming from a dude that has Section 80 > GKMC anyway.

Hard to compare. I have probably listened to GKMC more than Illmatic, but we’d have to see how GKMC feels years later. We also can’t deny the impact Illmatic had, people really consider it one of the greatest albums ever. I don’t think GKMC had that same effect.
