May 23: iLL Will Gunnned Down. (1992)
May 23, 1992 – On This Date In Hip-Hop, Willie “iLL Will” Graham was gunned down in the Queensbridge Projects. iLL Will was Nas’ best friend, neighbor and DJ back when Nas was Kid Wave.
Will was shot and killed while talking to Jungle on a bike in front of the projects. “Did he die in vain and represent for the cause / now I put his name on everything I’m involved / and that’s #BloodBlockedMe, Y’all can’t relate – fuck y’all — iLL Will”
